About

I’m a graphic designer keen on crafting visually striking yet simple designs using meaningful research. I am looking to leverage the skills I’ve learnt in school to get a full-time position and begin to work in a real-world context.

Personal Summary

I’m a lover of art and culture and love to explore human creativity in all its different forms. I often enjoy going to museums and galleries and strongly feel as though everything I’m exposed to just further develops my own creativity. I make it a point to visit at least one museum in each place I travel. Besides design I enjoy writing and doing interviews with other creatives and picking their brain on their creative endeavors. I’ve recently been exploring digital and analog collage in my free time. I also would like to explore other areas of design such as motion, exhibition and industrial design.

Design Philosophy

In the world of design (or anywhere really), less is often more. I’m a firm follower of minimalism, drawing much of my inspiration from designers like Massimo Vignelli. I enjoy employing minimalists layout with bold sometimes custom typography, and simple yet eye-catching illustration in my designs. I also believe in design being functional and place importance on research and brainstorming at the onset of a new project.

The Future

When I graduate I plan to continuously further my education by doing various certifications. Graphic design is a field that requires life-long study of new technologies and practices which I love since I hate being stagnant. My goal is to refine my technical skills and be able to transition into a project management role in a creative industry. I want to want to work with designers, artists, and entrepreneurs and bring exceptional ideas to life.
